Valentina Devine, returns to Crafty Lady Trio in April!  Be sure to register early for one or all of her events.  Valentina Devine (yes, that is her real name), is a fiber artist who lives in Los Alamos, New Mexico.  Born in Germany, Valentina came to the U.S. accomplished in both knit and crochet techniques.  Her expertise provided her entree into the New York textile business.  Since then she has become a talented entrepreneur with a keen creativity and a whimsical eye for design.  She dyes her own yarns and is sought after to design for others. Valentina has original designs in almost every issue of Knit "N" Style.  She has also been featured in tow magnificent compendiums of knitting.  Knitting Across America and Handpaint Country.  Her designs reflect her sense of freedom as she uses shape, texture and color to create unique garments.  In addition she is the creator of beautiful hand-dyed yarns under her own label.

Valentina will be sharing her creativity in two classes and a fashion show to inspire you on your next sweater, shawl or purse.  She will also be bringing a variety of her hand-dyed yarns and original garments available for purchase.

Stitch 'N' Pitch, we will once again be participating along with the Detroit Tigers in the Stitch 'N' Pitch event.  Stitch along with us on Sunday, August 10th at Comerica Park for a fun filled day of baseball.  We will once again be hiring a bus (byob!)  Further details will be available in the store as we get closer to the event.

Tapestry Tent Trunk Show, Tapestry Tent Designs is based in Windsor, Colorado and is owned and operated by Ted & Liz Dillion.  Liz along with daughter Ashley is the creative forces behind Tapestry Tent's original designs.  Liz is famous for her Christmas stockings and detail stitch painted canvas.  We will be fortunate to have her collection of designs available in the store the entire month of May.
